Cellular polycarbonate - good stuff, but it has one negative feature - hygroscopicity and in general high permeability for gases and vapours. Surprisingly, but polycarbonate, for example, is the best some other polymers passes and accumulates a moisture. It imposes a number of technological restrictions on use of a material. In particular, for this reason cellular polycarbonate demands packing end faces longitudinal "honeycomb" an aluminium tape.Property of hygroscopicity can negatively affect, for example, vinylic application. Deaf aluminium tapes.

Depending on thickness of polycarbonate tapes of next width are applied:

For panels of 4-6 mm - width 12mm.
For panels of 8-10 mm - width 25mm.
For panels of 16-25 mm - width 38mm.
For panels of 32-40 mm - width 50mm.

Length of a roll, as a rule, 50 m.

The punched aluminium tapes.

The Punched tape with the microfilter is developed specially for protection and hermetic sealing longitudinal honeycombs cellular polycarbonate from a moisture and a dust.It is an inexpensive and durable self-glued tape with micropunching it is capable to follow temperature fluctuations polycarbonate panels in a wide range of temperatures, to create inside honeycombs the necessary microclimate and simultaneously to resist to friction edging a structure at its installation. The tape serves not less than 10 years in severe constraints of operation: UV-radiation, humidity, high and low temperatures, a molded fungus. The tape has silvery color and represents the punched self-glued basis on a substrate. Force of adhesion of a glutinous layer is high enough, but is balanced in such a manner that allows to correct in case of need a tape and to paste it repeatedly, and also to resist to the effort of shift arising because of a difference of factors of temperature expansion of sheets and structures.Tapes with punching are applied to protection of the bottom side of a leaf polycarbonate roof. The air filter of the punched tapes, with the size of times 40 micron, interferes with penetration of insects, a dust and a dirt in honeycombs, but at the same time carries out drainage functions, passing accumulated in honeycombs a condensate outside and providing moist circulation.For correct end of operation on hermetic sealing on the bottom end face of the panel of polycarbonate closed by a punched tape put on special face polycarbonate or the aluminium structure corresponding thickness and color of the used panel - as a result is provided technically reliable use of the panel with preservation of its high transparency.

Silicone hermetic

It is used for hermetic sealing panels in places of their connection with a structure and at fastening edges of a leaf to keep a leaf on the place put to it, and also for maintenance of water resistance of sealing up.It is necessary to consider that fact that all is far not the hermetics offered in the market, approach for polycarbonate sheets, and use of the some people can lead to fast and essential damage of sheets. The blanket is broken, sheets "grow turbid" and darken, and also become more fragile. So, for example, silicane hermetics on the basis of amines or benzamide with polycarbonate are incompatible and can cause its destruction.
